Dr. Anam Elahi is a Lecturer at the University of Liverpool, where she teaches and supervises on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Her research interests are in ethnic inequalities in mental health. This has included research in psychosis, refugee mental health and researching Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT).

She has contributed to research exploring South Asian women's experiences of CAT and therapists' experiences of providing CAT to people from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds, with a particular interest in how culture, identity, and relationships shape psychological distress and therapeutic processes.

She is passionate about producing evidence that informs culturally responsive psychological practice and equitable mental health care.
