Dr. Foteini Thoma is a Psychiatrist and accredited Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapist currently practising in private practice in Cyprus. Dr. Thoma also serves as the Medical Director of Code Behaviour, an independent specialist psychology service providing evidence-based assessment, consultation, and intervention across Europe and the United Kingdom.
She graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School, Greece, before completing her specialist training in Psychiatry at the University Hospital of Thessaly and the General Hospital of Tripoli. Alongside her psychiatric residency, Dr Thoma completed formal training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), enabling her to integrate evidence-based psychotherapy with comprehensive psychiatric care.
Prior to relocating to Cyprus, Dr. Thoma worked within the Greek National Health System (ESY) and NGO "EPAPSY". Following her move to Cyprus, she served as Head Psychiatrist at the Cyprus Prison Department, leading the delivery of specialist mental health services within the correctional system and managing the assessment and treatment of individuals with complex psychiatric needs.
She subsequently transitioned to full-time private practice, where she continues to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, pharmacological management, and psychotherapy to adolescents and adults.
