Dr. Hatty (Harriet) Francis-Ehnholm is a British-trained Clinical Psychologist who has lived and worked in Finland for 16 years. She recently completed a 3.5-year advanced training in Integrative Psychotherapy, where she was introduced to Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) by Jenny Nyberg, Katri Kanninen, Ruth Carson and Steven Potter. Working relationally is now central to Hatty's practice, helping her navigate the subtle nuances and complexities of her clients' experiences to offer thoughtful, tailored care.

Hatty is the co-owner and clinical lead of Compass Psychology, a growing practice of 16 psychologists and psychotherapists in central Helsinki. With roughly two-thirds of their clients coming from international backgrounds, Hatty and her team daily navigate complex relational dynamics, including loneliness, discrimination, integration challenges, and complex trauma.

Her poster at ICATA presents research from her psychotherapy training, examining a theme frequent in her clinical work: how immigrants experience and navigate the Finnish cultural tradition of silence.
