Katerina is a clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience working in different mental health settings. She is based in Melbourne where she works in the public health system at The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, Eating Disorders Service, and in private at In Dialogue Practice.
Katerina completed her clinical psychology degree in Caracas, Venezuela under a psychodynamic model of care and learning. Katerina migrated to Australia in 2009 to complete her PhD at The University of Western Australia on body image dissatisfaction in adolescents using a biopsychosocial model.
Since 2018, Katerina has been dedicated to working with young people who struggle with restrictive eating disorders, and their families. She is trained in FBT, CBT-E, SSCM, RO-DBT (Level 1) and recently completed the CAT practitioner training.
Katerina has been a member of the Australia & NZ Academy for Eating Disorders since 2014 and holds the ANZAED Eating Disorder Credential as a Mental Health Professional (CEDC-MH). Katerina is also a Psychology Board of Australia accredited supervisor.
Katerina feels passionate about working and thinking relationally and believes in the integration of CAT into already existing, evidence-based psychotherapeutic models.
