Dr. Lucy Cutler is a chartered clinical psychologist, CAT therapist and CAT supervisor. She has worked across Jersey, the NHS and Australia, and, alongside clinical practice. She has remained engaged in research and development through doctoral and PhD studies, including invited peer review for the International Journal of Cognitive Analytic Therapy and Relational Mental Health.
Her work is grounded in CAT, taking an integrative approach with a particular interest in voice – how patterns of relating develop across the lifespan and come to be recognised and reshaped in therapy. She is interested in how we live within the tension between expression and belonging, noticing that emotional meaning often emerges between people before it can settle into words and be voiced with understanding.
With Steve Potter, she has developed a voice-focused way of working that helps people recognise patterns and find new ways of responding to themselves and others.
