Dr. Karvounis is a CAT therapist, a Jungian Analyst, and a Consultant
Psychiatrist. In his NHS work in North London, he was the Clinical Director of a therapeutic community/Day Hospital. He consequently led a Mentalization-based intensive outpatient service for personality disorders, and later the Complex Needs service.He co-led the development of the psychological therapies in the Enfield Directorate, and introduced a researched CBT-based psychological approach for inpatient wards and community teams. He is a UKCP registered supervisor in CAT and Jungian Analysis. His clinical work in now in private practice. He teaches, supervises and is presenting seminars and lectures in UK, Greece and internationally.
