Juha Savolainen, M.Soc.Sc., is a doctoral researcher and lead trainer in the cognitive analytic psychotherapy training programmes at the University of Helsinki, and currently a visiting researcher at the Finnish Institute of Health and Welfare (THL). He also works as a clinical psychotherapist, psychotherapy supervisor, and trainer, and has long-standing clinical experience with adult patients in rehabilitation, specialised health care, and occupational health services.

Earlier in his career he worked in a psychiatric hospital, in both ward and outpatient care, with a family- and network-focused approach. He is a trainer in dialogical sequence analysis (DSA) and the DiaSek approach, developed by Professor Mikael Leiman.
