Lee Crothers is an Occupational Therapist, Psychotherapist, and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) practitioner/supervisor with over 30 years of experience across public mental health, private practice, consultation, and training. She is Co-Director of In Dialogue Practice, founder of Relate & Reflect, and CAT Training Australia, where she is passionate about bringing relational thinking into everyday clinical practice.
Lee has a particular interest in integrating Cognitive Analytic Therapy with evidence-based approaches to complex mental health, including eating disorders. Her work explores how relational patterns, reciprocal roles, and procedural learning can deepen formulation, strengthen the therapeutic alliance, and complement established evidence-based interventions. She is committed to helping clinicians move beyond fragmented understandings of symptoms towards more integrated, relational care.
Lee provides consultation, supervision, and training to organisations including the Centre of Excellence in Eating Disorders (CEED), Eating Disorders Victoria (EDV), and the National Eating Disorders Collaboration (NEDC) in Australia.
She is co-editor, with Nick Barnes, of Working Relationally with Young People: A Cognitive Analytic Approach to Connecting One to One, with Families and Across Communities (Pavilion Publishing), reflecting her commitment to understanding distress and recovery within the relational, family, community, and cultural contexts in which people live.
