Maria Kalyva is a final-year Psychology student at Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi, Italy, and a trainee in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) through HellasCAT (Greek Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapy). Her academic interests focus on relational processes, repetitive interpersonal patterns, and the role of therapeutic reformulation in understanding psychological difficulties and processes of change, with a particular interest in relapse processes and relational dynamics in Alcohol Use Disorder.

She is currently completing her psychology internship placement at Syn-Eirmos NGO of Social Solidarity, gaining experience within a multidisciplinary psychosocial support setting. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Informatics, which has contributed to her interdisciplinary perspective and her interest in the use of diagrams and visual representations for organizing and presenting complex concepts.

She is a certified Yoga Instructor (Yoga Alliance 200 YTT) and a member of the non-profit organization “Εκφραστική Καλλιτεχνική Αναζήτηση,” where she participates in educational and cultural initiatives, including creative writing workshops, storytelling activities, and school-based programs.

She is also an author of social novels and children’s literature, with works published by the Greek publishing houses «Σμίλη» and «Γράφημα». Her engagement with writing and storytelling reflects her interest in human experience, personal narratives, and meaning-making processes.
